Slice Bar Games Announces the Steam Page Launch for The Astra Protocol
South Yorkshire, UK – October 2026
Slice Bar games are proud to announce that the Steam Page for The Astra Protocol, the latest entry in their space-faring Astra
Protocol series, is now live.
The Astra Protocol builds upon the distinctive gameplay of its predecessors, putting players in the cockpit of a spacecraft and challenging them to operate it through text based commands and a retro-inspired interface. Learning how to pilot the ship is as important as completing the mission itself. Rather than relying on traditional tutorials, players will need to learn their ship through a comprehensive real-world user manual – and put that knowledge to use.
The new game expands the series with a much deeper narrative, and new gameplay features such as crew management and intergalactic trading, all set against the backdrop of the players’ corporate overlords: The Apex Corporation.
The Astra Protocol is scheduled to launch in 2028 on PC and Steam.
The Steam page is now live, where players can wishlist the game and follow its development.
